Chocolate Fudge

- This was a treat only made at Christmas.
- Note: Brette made this fudge with chocolate morsels that did not contain an emulsifier and the fudge was very crumbly.
Ingredients
- 3 cups sugar
- 1½ sticks unsalted butter
- ⅔ cup evaporated milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 7 oz marshmallow cream
- 2 Tbsp Hershey’s cocoa
- 1 cup chopped nuts, optional
Directions
- Heat sugar, butter, and evaporated milk in a saucepan over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and chocolate chips. Mix well before adding marshmallow cream, nuts, and cocoa.
- Whip by hand until it becomes stiff. Spread in a buttered 9x13" pan. Cool to set.
