  1. Cream shortening and sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
  2. Add unbeaten egg and vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift cocoa, baking powder, salt, and flour. Gradually add to creamed mixture.
  4. Using a cookie press, place cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400° for 10-15 minutes.
